In addition to our production awards, the New York Innovative Theatre Awards also gives out Honorary and Special awards. Every year our award committees accept open submissions for nominees. Once the community has made their nominations,

and submissions close, a peer-panel selected from the Off-Off-Broadway community conducts multiple deliberations and votes to determine the recipients. Committee members are experienced members of the OOB/Indie theatre community, and bring their knowledge of our community, environment, goals and desires to the table as they work to honor some of the most worthy OOB/Indie artistic members.
